Inside the TMHOF
From screaming engines to spectacular views, the Texas Motorsports Hall of
Fame will take fans to the heart of racing almost every day of the year.
The Hall will be housed near the South Tunnel at the Texas Motor Speedway,
offering visitors a chance to enjoy the best of Texas racing and a panoramic
view of the speedway. Upon completion, the TMHOF will be a permanent
part of the Texas Motor Speedway, and it will be open year-round to
visitors.
Although the TMHOF facility is currently in its planning stages, several
characteristics will be included the final design. As visitors ascend
the steps into the Hall, plaques bearing the names of sponsors will
welcome them and set the stage for the fun inside. Once inside, two
of the Hall’s most striking characteristics will be immediately
apparent – 10-story glass walls encasing the entire area and a
sweeping view of Turn One at Texas Motor Speedway, which will be accessible
every day except race days.
TMHOF honorees will be memorialized by statues which will ring the edges of
the Hall. Each statue will be accompanied by an interactive display
providing visitors with in-depth information regarding the inductee’s
motorsports career.
Tying it all together will be a one-of-a-kind brick walkway, which
will provide the foundation for the entire Texas Motorsports Hall of
Fame. The bricks, which will have the name of fans and corporate sponsors
chiseled in them, will be available for purchase in 2004. If you would
like to be contacted when brick sales begin, please contact us HERE. |
