Interdenominational services are held each Sunday morning in the West Chapel, which graces a hillside overlooking the campus. Sunday evening activities include contemporary music, Bible studies, and visiting speakers. These activities are conducted by the Farm's Youth Minister and staff volunteers.
Though Happy Hill Farm Academy/Home is interdenominational and works with children of all faiths or, more often, children from no religious background at all, the program is undergirded by very clear moral and spiritual foundations. There are chapel services on Sunday. Parents and visitors are invited and encouraged to attend with their children. The services are usually conducted by Ed Shipman, an ordained minister. In his absence, Greg Robison, the Farm's youth minister handles the services. Greg also directs weekly programs centered around counseling, discussion groups, and music. There is an active Fellowship of Christian Athletes Chapter on campus. Inspirational speakers and musicians frequently come to the campus to share their experiences with the students in the chapel or at the Academy's Fine Arts Center. We want our students to leave this campus with a moral and spiritual compass inside their hearts. We want them to practice their faith. We want them to love God and their fellow man regardless of race, creed, or color. |
